Green Shoots exists to take the admin and frustration out of gardening, especially for newbies. It acts as a guided gardening tool to help time-poor people get outside and grow their own food by offering convenient herb & salad seedling kits.
The creative direction and branding was inspired by the garden – the sharpness of leaves and thorns in contrast with soft bends, curves and imperfections growing from the ground. The look and feel is elegant and stylish while still holding an approachable and quirky feel. If we look at the competitive landscape where other brands appeared earthy and organic, it was key to embrace bright, poppy colours and quirky styling to amp up the playfulness, and create strong graphic systems that could be used across print, packaging and digital platforms. We wanted to bring an element of excitement to Green Shoots so that it felt fun and accessible to families, children and aspiring gardeners.
